The only reason I'm giving this a point more than S1 is because the fan service is pretty reduced. I'm pretty sure this gets touched in later in the story but I don't! Care! Anymore!
He feels nothing, he expresses nothing, even his whole personality is just dead like he's a living fucking corpse. So far, breaking every game using points is somehow the only power move he's been using from the start and it's just boring. Is it the OP MC? Looks like it but I already gave my two cents about why I hate Ayanokouji as a character in my S1 review. Throwing random quotes with no purpose or meaning is not psychology, it's just pretentious. So much of the Anime rides in this "Psychology", that it's actually laughable. Is it for the "Psychology"? A guy asking for a girl to spread her legs isn't some psychological shit, it's just creepy. It's very noticeable and very off putting. The whole show looks rather dim and not as colorful as it did in S1, and I won't talk about that walking animation in episode 2. Is it the art/animation? Sure the characters, & especially those eye designs are a eye-catching but it seems like S2 is a step down to S1, in terms of production. Is it the characters? What's really so good about these characters? If you just want waifus with big booties, then what's the difference between this and other harem or ecchi Anime? Those characters atleast deliver some fun unlike these shallow drawings pretending as characters. It just makes it uninteresting more than anything.
Most of these psychological games just throw as many rules & conditions in a game to create this complex feel but does such a miserably job at making it appealing or interesting, i.e boring execution and poor narration choices. Is it the mind games? Sure as hell its not focussing them, nor are they intriguing either. I don't understand what's so great about this show. of it, creates these absurdly over-the-top dramatic scenes like the bulling scene and then introduces our OP lifeless protagonist to save the day. The show uses the same tricks as S1, starts with some dEeP quotes which I still don't understand what even the purpose But by the end of episode 3, I already lost it. Over the top melodrama, boring characters with paper thin personalities, unnecessary fan service and most of all, this OP Lifeless MC, all made S1 a terrible show but after having my fair share of discussions with LN fans, I decided to give S2 a try, hoping it might redeem itself. He's the tankiest of the group and focusses blunt weapons, which are all about KO and FORCE (so you'll have fun watching zombies being launched into orbit late-game with specific mods, or enjoy his ability to endlessly crowd-control while handling himself with melee'ing 1vX zombies regardless).

Telling someone that the tanky Thug Life Sam B with full crowd control 'is the same' as stuck up Purna with support buffs and full ranged gunplay is as ignorant as it is stupid.Īs for the actual question, I'd recommend Sam B for solo. In terms of Riptide, they also have a lot of different things to say about questions and situations, so there's that as well. They all specialize in different weapons and playstyles, all of which is improved by salvaging very different weapons and materials - Two ranged and, now, three melee - All with different group buffs (irrelevant to solo, but worth noting for when you go to co-op) and different health & stamina levels alongside unique Fury abilities. None of them are 'almost' the same - Not even CLOSE.
